Title: Lancase
Created: 05.09.2009 19:29
my attempt at the perfect case for lan parties. Turns out it was far from perfect; not modular enough and weighed a ton
Here it is. Fully assembled and working. The original case is a SilverStone tj08. It took pretty close to one year to build this. Although I didn't work on this every day and for some reason I decided to cover the whole thing with fiberglass.

finally got some brown on the case. Too bad I was trying to paint the whole thing with only 1.5 cans of spray paint so the finish on the paint is now terrible. At least the color is nice (it is way too orange in these pictures).

BOOM! birthday update. I'm currently repainting the case due to cold painting temperatures and sloppy prep work. You can see the future base color on the window panel. I will be painting the supports on the backside black tomorrow(again ofc.). I might even be able to pull this together for asm '10!

Finally got the window looking like it should be. I was a bit afraid of making it look like a premod by adding those screws, but I like the way it turned out. I am planning on getting ths screws black somehow. Also I will be doing something similar to the front intake
Finally got the wind...
Here I have fibreglassed the supports for the case (You could say that I've leveld up on fibreglassing). I'm trying to get these and the case ready for a basecoat this weekend.

I'm currently working on a support structure for the exterior of the case to protect it from scratches during transportation. This is a piece I used to test my technique on. The final versions will be covered with fibreglass for added strength.

"So, what has nano achieved since his last upload?" nobody might ask. Well I'll tell ya anyways: Been fibreglassing up my case and cutting holes into it. The fan hole on the top was moved about 1cm from it's original position. Coming close to the halfway of this case. todo: fibreglassing, supports, hdd mount, intake fan mount and paint.
ps. comment about my 1337 editing skills and I'll... whatever.

Suddenly! out of nowhere a new case appears to allthemopeds. It's a silverstone tj08. The handle, psu mount and hdd cage are not attached yet. I've been doing this case for about a month now. Still missing some important parts. Also It's missing an intake and an exhaust. I'm trying to make the perfect lan case. Looks kinda crappy for now, but I love it :)
