Here's my PCI-e x16 to PCI-e x1 slot mod, and surprisingly it works! :D
I needed more display adapters to attach my case's TFT-side window and maybe a TV in future.

Bought the Radeon HD3450 (passive!) for 10 euros, the dremeling took 2 minutes. Easy, cheap and silent! :P

01.09.2009 07:27 lossdriverAnd I need tools to get the TFT window mod going again, I only need to hide the wires and make fixings to the side plexi :P
01.09.2009 07:22 lossdriverThere are too high components on the motherboard so the pins woudn't have fit. It was also a lot cheaper to risk the card than the mb :P
31.08.2009 22:49 ZestiI would have modified mobo slot instead.. Couple cuts with stanley knife does the job. :P
31.08.2009 21:29 DJanneI have tested that before. not anything new, old thing :D
31.08.2009 20:55 BenaHOh then. :) It sure sounds nice, you have done any progress with the transTFT?
31.08.2009 18:13 lossdriverI'm using it to run my TFT case window and irc (screens 1 & 2), the more powerful gpu I use for everything else.
31.08.2009 17:59 BenaHI thought that was impossible. :D What are you going to do with the card now?
31.08.2009 17:45 laurilrYup, that's worth trying if you happen to have a usefull gfx. Just don't try to fit AGP-cards to PCI-E slot :P
31.08.2009 17:03 lossdriverThe other pins are just for extra bandwidth. Didn't believe it either until I did it myself :D
31.08.2009 16:55 jumatuseHow is that possible? :D
