Tec chiller take two. Sprayed with Clearneon paint. It only glows under UV, while being clear and showing the steel under normal light(pictures were taken with ambient light, glows brighter in darkness).

05.10.2007 14:03 GSXI doubt I will have freezing problems. I ran it dry and it only got down to about 34F. So once I add load from a overclocked cpu/gpu, I will most likely need a 90W TEC to be even close to the freezing point. Liquid Nitrogen is just not too practical for everyday use.. This rig will run 24/7, with the only down time being maintnance.
05.10.2007 10:11 ErrtuSo, it is just thermo couple (as temp. sensor) working in other way. Are you going to use some kind of anti-freeze there? There could come problems with the pump, 'cos I think they are meant to work in normal temp. (0-60°C / 32-140°F) Next stop NL2. =)
05.10.2007 08:32 GSXYes, dT= temp difference between sides. Technically it's all based on watts, but thats another story. I never really understood peltiers either, but it's rather simple. It's nothing more than two dissimilar pieces of metal, which react to each other when current is applied.
05.10.2007 07:51 ErrtuSo, the dt is temperature difference between hot- and coldsides? Well, that do make sense. I thought that calculations are based on QW (like cooling power). I have never understanded TECs and I have thought that they aren't that effective.. live and learn, as they say.
04.10.2007 22:48 GSXThe picture only shows half of the res. There is another piece that stacks on top of it. It probably can do pasive, but it wouldn't be too effective.
